    admin area understanding needed

Ok, I've downloaded a lot of scripts that all use an admin directory, however the project I'm currently working on most admin areas will be dynamically generated according to database entries. So is the admin directory really needed and if so do I place my company/employee functions within it? Meaning we would be the main overall site administrators?
    Any help is greatly appreciated!

RTFM What does it say? If it wants to use that directory then there must be a reason. It may be that you can rename it as long as you know where the path to the dir is stored.

It is even good practice to rename the admin dir for security reasons - call it Matilda if you want as long as the app knows to look for the dir called Matilda when it wants admin.

Without knowing the application, however, it is impossible to say.
