include file help

is there a way to have the include file looking at the name of the html page and changing the extension to show the include.

so:

include="show page name (.ssi)"

if the page name is text.html the file that will be the include will be text.ssi

make sence?

Sorry for the delay here, this must have been missed.

I dare sat that you have the answer to this by now but, this would be a server-side action as ssi (includes) are processed on the server before being passed to the browser. the method would depend on which tech you have on the server (ASP, PHP etc) but will be fairly similar.

I will move this to the Server-side forums so that the guys there can see it.
