Hey I think there was a thread about web hosts somewhere else but I was hopin maybe to find a free one that allows cgi and has no banners to host a site i made for experience.. http://server2042.virtualave.net/essayshmessay/
virtualave.net is ok i guess.. but they have huge dumb banners that pop up.. and its real annoying..

now that is annoying and I couldn't back out of it I had to close down. Anyways it's just a suggestion is that I use a free domain redirect to my home computer and run my site from there.
its at yi.org that you can get the free domain and it will tag that yi.org to your domain name. I picked lorddog so my name is lorddog.yi.org and I set up PWS and php to run on my computer. If my ping ever changes(2 times so far in last 4 months) I just hit their site and it updates my ping for the redirect. You can run apache for almost any system also.
