Hi there, i dont need a paid hosting neither a domain name, so please dont recommend me that:)
1. I need to know some good free hosting services, so i know my site in general will always be up.
2. I know freedomtosurf and bravenet are well known, but i would like any feedback on that, anyone uses them? good service?
3. I was thinking about having my site in 2 hosting places so if for any inconvenience, one is down, the people who want to see my site would be able to access via other url.
Good idea?
4. How do you make sure both different url's are known? How do i publicize them? Do i use the same metatags so both are always found in the same place?
Any recommendations?
5. Any hosting service you like?
I tried brinkster.com but many people one day or other cant access my site and has happened always, doesnt work many times, ppl say, so, i am very worried, maybe brinskter isnt that good after all.
I use it as has no ads but if cant be accessed all day, no logic to keep it there.
I am sure many people would agree this question is very interesting.

Bravenet has a banner ad across the top just like Angelfire and tripod. Yahoo Geocities has an ad square that throws errors and, I couldn't get an applet to run there. I pay 20$ per month for Internet access via a local provider and, get 5mb space with no ads but, I don't know if it has the server side common gateway thingy but, I only use it for making e-cards when my friend's email can't get images for any reason. I see many folks complain about Yahoo's premium service and believe, it's best to have back-up sites somewhere so they will delete your site when they have a will for it. ( savy?) If you are a real Salesman, You could get your own server and then, charge other folks for space and have more control but, I've not looked that far. I'd like to hear what others have to say about this.

freedom2surf ended their free website offer several days ago.

I used http://www.100best-free-web-space.com to find free webspace when I was looking for it, but you're really much better off buying your own.

Good free hosts dont exist as far as Im concerned. F2S (Freedom2Surf) no longer has a free service. If you want to have a mirror of your site just say that on your pages what the alternate url is and put it somewhere that people can see. I wouldnt make one site on one host different from the site on the other host though. Everything right down to the meta tags should be the same.
